Flu Season 2026 - 2027

1st September 2026 to 31st March 2027

The NHS winter vaccination programme is now underway. Check below to see when you are eligible and how to get your free flu jab at West End Clinic.

 

Who is eligible and when?

Group 1: Eligible From 1st September 2026

  • Pregnant women – at any stage of pregnancy
  • Children aged 2 or 3 years old (on 31 August 2026)
  • Children aged 6 months to 17 years with long-term health conditions

School age children 4 – 17 years will be offered vaccination by their school
 
 

Group 2: Eligible from 1 October 2026

  • Adults aged 65 and over ( or turning 65 by 31 March 2027 )
  • Adults aged 18 to 64 with a long-term health condition ( such as asthma, diabetes, or heart disease )
  • Main carers for an older or disabled person
  • Household contacts of someone with a weakened immune system
  • Care home residents


Covid 19 Autumn/Winter Vaccination Services
West End Clinic are not offering COVID-19 vaccinations currently
If you are eligible for a free seasonal COVID-19 booster, you can still easily book an appointment through alternative NHS services. You do not need to contact us for a referral.
Where to Get Your COVID-19 Vaccine

  • Book by Phone: Call the NHS vaccine helpline on 119 (free of charge).
  • Find a Walk-in Site: Check for local walk-in pharmacies and community clinics using the NHS Walk-in Finder https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/vaccination-and-booking-services/find-a-walk-in-covid-19-vaccination-site/
  • The NHS App: Log into your NHS App to view eligibility and secure an appointment directly
Please note: We are still delivering other standard seasonal immunisations as planned. If you have an appointment or invitation for a different vaccination, such as flu vaccine, please attend as normal.
